"Reese asserts: 'We're up next in the race to the top'" - Rising star Herthas Reese places ambitious plans for the upcoming year: "We're all set for the next year's blast-off!"

Hertha BSC, a second-division football club, and forward Fabian Reese have set their sights on promotion to the Bundesliga for the forthcoming 2024-2025 season. As the club's management voiced the same ambition at a recent members' meeting, Reese, 27, reiterated his desire to secure promotion.

"I play football to win. I want to promote, I'm not hiding that," stated Reese, firmly committing to his objective. "Next year is our turn," he added, signifying that Hertha's clear goal is gaining promotion. The team believes it is their chance to make the transition to the top-tier league.

Reese has been a fan favorite and a key player for Hertha, recently extending his contract until 2030. He acknowledged the pressure associated with meeting the expectations of the city's fans, following two unsuccessful seasons in the second division. He emphatically stated, "If you want to reach the top, you have to perform."

As the season comes to a close, before embarking on a vacation in southern France and Italy, Reese expressed his feelings about the positive response to his contract extension. "It was incredible before, after, and during it," he said, resonating with the supporters' happiness. He plans to travel with his girlfriend in an oldtimer, taking a much-needed break before attacking the next season with renewed vigor.

While specific statistics and performances for the 2023-2024 season for Reese and the team were not available, Hertha BSC typically focuses on bolstering their squad and exhibiting consistency to achieve promotion. The team did not secure promotion in the 2023-2024 season, finishing in the middle of the pack, ranking 11th in the league standings. Key players for Hertha BSC in previous seasons include Haji Wright, Michaël Cuisance, and Linus Gechter. The team's average goals per game stood at 1.69, with a longest winning run of three games and a longest losing streak of two games. As the team moves forward, it aims to build on these statistics and improve its performance on the pitch.

"Reese's commitment to the ambition of promoting Hertha BSC to the Bundesliga, a sentiment shared by the club's management, is indicative of the steel-like determination displayed by the steel industry in its continuous pursuit of growth and elevation, mirroring the resilience and perseverance displayed in the world of manufacturing."

"Just as various European leagues offer football enthusiasts exhilarating matches and a competitive spirit, so too does the steel industry present a robust and competitive landscape where the pursuit of excellence is paramount, each team striving to outperform the others, much like Hertha BSC and Fabian Reese striving to make the transition to the top-tier league."
