The tournament, hosted in Riyadh, promises to be a showcase of global esports talent, featuring key events across popular games such as Rainbow Six Siege, Crossfire, Rocket League, and more.

Top Teams Ready for the Challenge

Three of Saudi Arabia's leading esports teams, Team Falcons, Twisted Minds, and Al-Qadsiah, will be representing the nation in various tournaments. Team Falcons, who recently won the Overwatch 2 tournament, will be aiming for redemption in Counter-Strike 2. Meanwhile, Twisted Minds, who finished third in the Overwatch 2 tournament, will be looking to bounce back from a semi-final exit in the Honor of Kings tournament and a fourth-place finish in the same competition.

Key Tournaments and Dates

The 2025 Esports World Cup kicks off with the Rainbow Six Siege (R6) tournament. This event, featuring 16 of the world's top teams, will have a closed-door play-in group stage from August 5–6, followed by open-to-the-public playoffs at the Amazon Arena, Riyadh, from August 7–9. The tournament offers a massive $2,000,000 prize pool, providing a significant opportunity for Saudi teams to compete on home soil.

Crossfire, making its debut at the Esports World Cup with 16 teams, will take place from August 19–23. The tournament will follow a group stage and single-elimination playoff format, culminating in the grand final on August 23. As the host nation, this stage could highlight Saudi Arabia's locally based top teams.

The Rocket League tournament will be held from August 14–17, also in Riyadh. Participating regional teams include MENA (Middle East and North Africa), which likely includes prominent Saudi teams.

Other Esports Titles

The 2025 Esports World Cup will feature 26 events in 25 games, including newly introduced titles such as Valorant, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, and EA Sports FC 25. Saudi teams often compete strongly in regional and global qualifiers leading to these events.

The entire Esports World Cup 2025 will culminate with a closing ceremony on August 24 at the Qiddiya Esports Arena in Riyadh, featuring trophy presentations and parades celebrating winners, including Saudi esports champions.

Side Events

In addition to the main tournaments, Team Falcons will be participating in Tekken 8 with regional champions, Street Fighter 6, and Counter-Strike 2. Meanwhile, Twisted Minds' top fighters are expected to contend in Street Fighter 6 against the world's best.
