Rising hockey star Matvei Gridin earns All-Star Classic roster spot in February
Matvei Gridin will compete in the 2026 AHL All-Star Classic as a representative of the Wranglers. Gridin, drafted 28th overall by the Flames in 2024, has quickly made an impact. Through 32 games, he ranks third on his team with 28 points (10 goals, 18 assists). His production also places him second among all AHL rookies this season. As one of 12 first-round picks and 30 players with AHL experience at the All-Star Classic, Gridin joins a select group of talent. His performance has earned him a spot among the league’s best young players for the showcase in Rockford.
