On the 3rd of June, in Ahmedabad, Rishi Sunak and Akshata Murty cheered on Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) as they clinched their much-awaited IPL triumph. The victorious duo then posed for a picture-perfect moment with the Kohli-Sharmas. The joy was palpable as Anushka and Akshata flashed radiant smiles amidst the triumphant atmosphere.

Akshata Murty took it to Instagram to express her excitement, captioning the special moment, "What a night. What a match. What a moment for Bengaluru." The 45-year-old, who is the fortunate daughter of Infosys founder, Narayana Murthy, highlighted the historical significance of RCB's victory after 18 long years of waiting.

She further stated, "To have been in Ahmedabad, witnessing Royal Challengers Bengaluru make history, was something truly special! From the electric energy at the ground to the celebrations reverberating across Bengaluru, this victory means a lot to all of us who've waited and believed." Little wonder, as she fondly recalled her roots in Bangalore.

The post was adorned with the iconic Kannada chant that echoed throughout Bengaluru post RCB's historic victory. "Ee Saala Cup Namdu!" she wrote, translating to "Thisyear, the cup is ours."

Rishi Sunak also demonstrated his loyalty towards RCB prior to the final against Punjab Kings. "I'm married into a Bangalore family, so RCB is my team," he was quoted by the Times of India. The former PM went on to reveal that his parents-in-law had gifted him an RCB jersey, and he had been a fervent supporter since. "We used to attend matches back then. Even when I was in office, I'd cheer for RCB at Downing Street," Sunak expressed.
