Riders of motorcycles will create disturbances in the city of Rīga on Saturday
The "Born to be Wild" motorcycle event, sponsored by a shopping mall and an electrical supplies company, is set to take place in Latvia on a designated route. This annual event, organised by the Latvian Motorcycle Club Association, has been happening for many years.
The journey will commence at the shopping center "Mols" (located at Krasta Street 46) and will make its way through the city, including Krasta Street, Dienvidu bridge, Ziepniekkalnas Street, Mūkusalas Street, Kuģu Street, Trijādības Street, Ranka Dambis, and Daugavgrīvas Street, ending at Spilve Airport.
Due to the event, vehicle traffic closures on the route and crossing streets will occur from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. The State Police will regulate or close public transport traffic on the parade route as necessary.
As a result, buses 10, 23, and 26, and trolleybuses 4, 19, and 27 will be diverted along a bypass road during the same timeframe. It is advisable for non-motorcycle commuters to plan alternate routes or allow extra travel time to avoid any inconvenience.
For detailed route and public transportation changes, it is recommended to consult official event organisers or local Latvian transportation authorities closer to the event date, as such information is often published shortly before the event to inform attendees and residents.
We hope this information helps you navigate the city during the "Born to be Wild" motorcycle event. Stay safe and enjoy the spectacle!
Spectators attending the "Born to be Wild" motorcycle event may also want to consider alternative modes of transport for sports like football, as public transit on routes including Krasta Street, Dienvidu bridge, Ziepniekkalnas Street, and others may be disrupted due to the event.
If you're into sports and planning to watch a match during the motorcycle event days, it would be wise to check schedules and facilities affected by the event, just to ensure a smooth experience.
