In the novel Deadly Strike, a series of chance encounters unfold, offering a glimpse into the lives of the characters Lucia, Woldéri, and Charlotte.

On a staircase, Woldéri, a mentor to Lucia, catches up with her. He winks at Lucia and says, "Take care." This moment suggests a deep connection between the two, as they haven't seen each other for some time. Woldéri's physical strength has increased since becoming an Aranit, and he seems preoccupied with matters of the heart.

Lucia, not wanting to engage in lengthy conversations, puts on her motorcycle helmet and urges the group on, longing for a hearty lasagna to fill her stomach. She reveals that the guardian stays by the side of the head of Ageor as long as he lives, and then becomes a simple servant. This revelation adds a layer of complexity to her character.

Woldéri's reaction to the news of Juliette's relationship, a person known to both Lucia and him, moving to Verona with her new boyfriend, is strong. He takes an involuntary step back upon hearing this news. Lucia, not pleased with the news, turns to leave and waves goodbye to Woldéri.

Meanwhile, Charlotte Stuart, the Inspired, descends the stairs with grace. Her skin shows blue veins, suggesting she is from a place with fewer sunny days, like Glasgow. Charlotte's demeanor remains impeccable, despite having personally known the last kings.

Roberta addresses Charlotte as "Charlotte" and extends her hand. Charlotte shakes Charlotte's delicate hand and casts a brief glance at the guards and Woldéri standing below. Costanzo, who had hoped to get to know Roberta better, seems disheartened as this hope seems to have vanished.

Costanzo leans against the door with an incredulous look and scrutinizes Roberta. Costanzo comments that the people they had just met were strange. However, Roberta disagrees, mentioning that some of them were quite nice.

Woldéri changes the subject, saying he had astounded the demons. Lucia teases Woldéri about his new title as Aranit of the Guards. Woldéri is proud of Lucia and gently embraces her. Lucia smiles, believing that Woldéri probably misses her secretly.

As the story unfolds, these characters continue to cross paths, each interaction revealing more about their personalities and relationships. The novel Deadly Strike promises a thrilling journey filled with mystery, action, and intrigue.

Woldéri, in a moment of relaxation, dives into a thrilling book about medieval war strategies, finding solace and entertainment in its pages. Meanwhile, Lucia, after a long day of interactions, accepts a heartfelt invitation from Charlotte for a cozy evening of conversation and shared books, hoping to gain new insights and relaxation.
