Autumn in Rhineland-Palatinate brought mixed weather, with mild temperatures but persistent rain and limited sunshine. While the season started with extreme heat, it ended with near-freezing conditions. Overall, the region saw more rainfall and less sun than usual.

September kicked off with record warmth, hitting a high of 31.5°C in Bad Dürkheim on the 20th. Yet the month also brought heavy downpours, making it one of the wettest in recent years.
