Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY's emotional farewell ends their WWE tag team era

At WrestleMania, Rhea Ripley won the WWE Women's Championship after defeating Jade Cargill. Despite it being a hard-hitting match, she was still part of RAW tonight, where she wrestled once again and teamed up with her longtime partner. Now, she has bid farewell, bringing an end to an incredible run in the company.

The WWE Women's Championship is usually attached to SmackDown. Thanks to winning the title and defeating Jade Cargill, Rhea Ripley is now moving to the blue brand. Ripley is now a part of SmackDown as a result of the win, but this also means that she will be separated from her long-time tag team partner, IYO SKY, going forward.

Tonight, she teamed up with SKY to face Kairi Sane and Asuka, given their rivalry over the past few months. However, tonight, it came to an end, finally, with Rhea Ripley hitting the headbutt, followed by the Riptide and SKY hitting the moonsault to pick up the win for their team. After the match was done, they celebrated, but there was something heavier waiting for them when they got backstage and had time to confront the reality of their situation. Ripley had to say goodbye to SKY once and for all.

"I guess that's it. Let's just try not to make it forever, okay? You handle your business here, and I will go be the champion that SmackDown needs."

SKY said that RHIYO was forever and hugged her, wishing her good luck as she went to SmackDown.

"You got this. Good luck. RHIYO is forever."

Rhea ended by saying that she loved SKY and asked her to be safe.

"I love you. You be safe."

The team is now over, and they will be singles stars going forward. Ripley will have the support of Damian Priest, given that they will share a brand, but SKY will be alone.
