HSV's Jordan Torunarigha Faces Potential Suspension After Red Card
German football club HSV is bracing for the potential absence of defender Jordan Torunarigha, who received a red card during the final preseason friendly against RCD Mallorca. The referee's report regarding the incident will influence the DFB's decision regarding a potential suspension.
Torunarigha, who had been a key defensive figure for HSV, was expected to start in the defensive line-up, particularly at left center-back, for the season opener against FK Pirmasens. However, his red card suspension is likely to keep him out of the first competitive match.
Despite the setback, Torunarigha had been part of HSV's defensive plans, often playing as a left center-back in recent matches. In the game against Borussia Mönchengladbach, he played as part of a back three alongside Daniel Elfadli and Warmed Omari.
The DFB is yet to make a decision regarding Torunarigha's potential suspension. The association is awaiting the referee's report, and a decision will be made at a later date.
