The Public Service Commission of Nepal (Lok Sewa Aayog) has announced a revised examination schedule for the Section Officer (Sakha Adhikrit) or similar posts in the Nepal Administration Service, Audit Service, and Federal Parliament Service. The new schedule comes after the Commission decided to call for applications and increase the number of posts due to orders from the Hon'ble High Court.
Revised Number of Posts
The revised number of posts for the Nepal Administration Service stands at 32, with an additional 14 posts due to new demands from the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration. The Audit Service will have 10 posts, and the Federal Parliament Service will have 5 posts.
Examination Schedule
The written examination was originally scheduled to be held on 2081/12/14 (B.S.). However, due to changes in the examination schedule regarding Nepal Foreign Service, the new schedule for the Nepal Administration Service, Audit Service, and Parliament Service is as follows:
- First Stage/First Paper: Administrative Aptitude Test on 2081/12/30 at 11:00 a.m.
- Second Stage/Second Paper (For All Service Groups): Current Affairs on 2082/02/23 at 2:00 p.m.
- Third Paper (For All Service Groups): Systems of Governance on 2082/02/22 at 2:00 p.m.
- Fourth Paper (For Administration, Federal Parliament, and Audit Service): Service/Group Related on 2082/02/24 at 2:00 p.m.
Please note that the examination schedule does not apply to Nepal Foreign Service at this time. The examination schedule for the Nepal Foreign Service will be announced once the interim order from the Hon'ble Supreme Court (Writ No. 081-wo-752) regarding the Nepal Foreign Service examination program has been resolved.
Application Process
Applications are invited within 35 days (21 days for open and inclusive advertisements) from the publication of this notification. The educational qualifications, age, experience, and other conditions for candidates remain the same as mentioned in the previous advertisement dated 8/26/2081.
The number of additional posts for Promotion, Open, Female, AJ, Madheshi, Dalit, Disability, and Backward Area categories are 14, 18, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, and 0 respectively. For more details about the syllabus or specific timing, please refer to the official notification.
The examination schedule for the Nepal Administration Service, Audit Service, and Parliament Service is provided under Notice No: 1075/081-82, dated 2081/11/21. The Commission encourages all eligible candidates to apply and participate in the competitive examination process.
- In the revised schedule, the written examination for the Section Officer posts in Nepal will be held on 2081/12/30 for the first stage.
- Candidates interested in the Nepal Administration Service, Audit Service, and Federal Parliament Service should apply within 35 days from the publication of this notice, especially those from the Promotion, Open, Female, AJ, Madheshi, Dalit, Disability, and Backward Area categories.
- The written examination for all service groups will continue with the second stage on 2082/02/23, focusing on Current Affairs, followed by the third paper on 2082/02/22, focusing on Systems of Governance.
- Applicants for the Administration, Federal Parliament, and Audit Service will face a fourth paper specific to their service group on 2082/02/24.
- The new schedule excludes the Nepal Foreign Service at this time, with the examination schedule for this service to be announced after the resolution of the interim order from the Hon'ble Supreme Court (Writ No. 081-wo-752) regarding the Nepal Foreign Service examination program.
