Revealed by André Ventura: The Private Leadership Circle within Chega Party Uncovered
André Ventura, the leader of the Chega party in Portugal and a professor at Universidade Nova de Lisboa, has revealed the first four names of his party's "shadow government." The announcement was made in an interview with Now Canal.
The four individuals joining Ventura's "shadow government" are Teresa Nogueira Pinto, Fernando Silva, Jorge Cid, and Horácio Costa.
Teresa Nogueira Pinto will be responsible for Culture, while Jorge Cid will take on the role of Agriculture. Fernando Silva will be in charge of Internal Administration, and Horácio Costa will oversee Health.
Ventura plans to include people from the bench "exceptionally" in his "shadow government." This move is part of his goal to "bet on independence" in his team.
It's important to note that Ventura is a member of the Portuguese parliament since October 2019. The full list of Chega's "shadow government" has not been officially announced yet, and no specific date for this presentation is available at the moment.
However, Ventura has already delivered the final list to the national direction, and he hinted at including names mostly from outside the party back in May.
The complete list of the "shadow government" will be presented on Friday. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.
