Revamped Reporting: Mazón Offers Tax Breaks for 'Occupation' Casualties and Expands Housing Protection Plan to 317 Municipalities, Providing a Total of 10,000 Secure Dwellings
Carlos Mazón's Comprehensive Housing Policy Addresses Key Challenges
The Autonomous Government of Carlos Mazón has launched a comprehensive housing policy aimed at addressing the housing problems faced by citizens in the region. The policy, which focuses on three key initiatives, includes tax incentives for property owners, anti-occupation measures, and the Vive Plan aimed at reactivating the housing market.
Tax Incentives
To encourage property owners to rent out empty homes and increase the available rental housing supply, the government has established fiscal benefits. These incentives are designed to reduce the number of vacant properties and alleviate the housing shortage.
Anti-Occupation Measures
Illegal occupation of homes is a significant issue in certain areas. To combat this problem, the government has put in place policies that strengthen the legal framework and enforcement to prevent unlawful invasions of properties. The objective is to create a safer and more secure housing environment for all residents.
Vive Plan
The Vive Plan is a specific initiative aimed at stimulating the housing market by facilitating access to housing, promoting renovations and rehabilitations, and supporting new construction initiatives. The plan targets both the demand and supply sides to make housing more accessible and affordable.
Additional Measures
In addition to these initiatives, the government has also introduced several changes in the regulations and new initiatives for administrative simplification. Notably, a new decree exclusively regulates the legal regime of Public Housing Units (VPP) in the community.
To further support young people and families, the government has extended the program to 317 municipalities that have adhered to the agreement with the Valencian Federation of Municipalities and Provinces. This extension aims to prioritize access for young people, families, and vulnerable collectives.
The government has also collaborated with the Valencian Institute of Finances (IVF) to offer guarantees that help young people and families obtain bank credits. Additionally, general rental aid and young rental bonuses are available, as well as financing for purchase in municipalities with fewer than 10,000 inhabitants.
To improve the quality of life for residents, the government plans to create urban spaces surrounding the properties to have more pleasant places. Furthermore, collaboration with State Security Forces and Bodies will be reinforced to combat illegal occupation effectively.
Building Public Housing
To address the housing needs of young people, the government will build public protected housing for 1,600 young people. The objective of the Integral Plan against the Occupation of Homes is to prevent, combat, and reduce illegal occupation. The program aims to improve attention to victims and speed up judicial eviction procedures.
The public housing park managed by the Generalitat will be maintained and improved to provide safe and secure housing for those in need. The rethought general housing policy aims to offer real and effective solutions to the housing problems faced by citizens in the region.
