Revamped Quarken 35 T-Top Boasts Spacious, Pilothouse-Inspired Layout Unveiled for First Time
New Quarken 35 T-Top Boat to Debut at Cannes Boat Show
The Quarken 35 T-Top boat, a variant of the popular Quarken 35 Cabin Tourer, is set to make its public debut at the upcoming Cannes Boat Show in September. This all-weather cruiser, built in Finland, is designed for year-round use and features a fully insulated cabin, panoramic windows, a sunroof, and sliding doors.
The Quarken 35 T-Top shares the same deck furniture as the pilothouse arrangement of the original Quarken 35 boat. The fore-and-aft galley is positioned to port, while a raised dining station opposite a twin helm can be found starboard. Two-man seats built into the bulwarks on both sides of the boat increase sociability in the aft cockpit without obstructing deck space. The open-plan forward owner's cabin includes a port heads compartment and a starboard bench that can be used as an extra guest berth and can even be rigged as a bed.
The primary entertaining zone extends further aft, integrating neatly with a bench seat at the leading edge of a large cockpit sunbed. Plenty of room inside the central sunbed is available for watersports gear, so it doesn't necessarily have to be mounted on the boat. The lower deck of the Quarken 35 T-Top will be identical to the original Quarken 35 boat.
The Quarken 35 T-Top is powered by twin Yamaha F300 outboards (2x 300 hp V6), enabling cruising speeds around 30-40 knots. The exact top speed is not explicitly stated but is expected to be similar to other boats of this size with the same engine specs. The starting price for the Quarken 35 T-Top is approximately 247,000 euros (excluding customs, taxes, freight, and delivery).
Meanwhile, the Frauscher 1414 Demon boat, showcased at the 2023 Boot Düsseldorf Boat Show, is designed to feel more like a Mediterranean boat than a four-season utility vessel. Built in Finland using vacuum infusion and a twin-stepped hull for maximum cruising efficiency, the boat boasts an open-plan layout designed for weekending couples. It features a three-person lounger at the bow, surrounded by safe walkaround decks, and a broad step-through forepeak that can be used as part of an additional five-person bow lounge.
The Frauscher 1414 Demon boat will come with a pair of Yamaha's 4.2L V6 300hp outboards, and its top speed is expected to be around 45 knots. However, the price of the Frauscher 1414 Demon boat has yet to be announced. The boat can be contacted through the website www.quarken.com.
Both the Quarken 35 T-Top and the Frauscher 1414 Demon boats promise to provide spacious comfort for adventures on large lakes or coastal waters. The Quarken 35 T-Top boat will undoubtedly attract attention at the Cannes Boat Show in September, marking the start of a new chapter for this versatile cruiser.
