"Return to Roots" - The BossHoss honor their hometown origins

The German country rock band The BossHoss is set to release their anniversary album, "Back to the Boots", this Friday, marking two decades since their debut album. The band, composed of Alec Völkel (53) and Sascha Vollmer (53), has been creating country music for a long time, with roots that originated from behind a bar in Berlin, not from America.

The new album signifies a return to the fans for The BossHoss, as stated by Sascha Vollmer. It is a return to the band's roots, offering pure country rock with two decades more experience, according to Alec Völkel.

One of the notable inclusions on "Back to the Boots" is a rock version of Willie Nelson's "On the Road Again". The band's love for the USA remains unchanged, despite the second term of US President Donald Trump, Vollmer believes. Actor Arnold Schwarzenegger has contributed to a song titled "I'll be back" on the album.

R&B legend Dionne Warwick has also contributed her voice to a new version of her hit "What the World Needs Now Is Love" on the album. "German Angst", a humorous number that satirizes German clichés, is also featured on "Back to the Boots".

The album includes energetic tracks like "One More Time", "Win Win", and "Showdown" that are likely to create an electrifying atmosphere during the band's concert tour. The band members often visit the United States for inspiration, and they will tour German clubs from late September, aiming to get close to their fans again, similar to their early years before appearing on "The Voice".

The song "Lunch" stands out on "Back to the Boots" as a sultry track. No specific celebrities contributing their voices to The BossHoss's album "Back to the Boots" are available in the search results. Völkel views the current situation in the USA as strange but still sees the country itself as great. Vollmer believes that America will eventually regain reason.

The BossHoss's initial success came from self-burned CDs being copied and distributed among friends. Today, they are releasing their anniversary album, a testament to their enduring love for country music and their dedication to their fans.
