Return of Super Sprint Sunday at 2025 British Rowing Indoor Championships!
Get ready for an adrenaline-pumping event as Super Sprint Sunday makes its return to the British Rowing Indoor Championships (BRIC) 2025! This thrilling addition to the BRIC weekend offers participants a chance to compete in five high-speed challenges and even become the Super Bowl Champion.
The BRIC 2025 will take place in-person at the NEC, Birmingham on Sunday, 7 December 2025. This year, Super Bowl Sunday includes five exhilarating challenges: 1-minute sprint, 100m sprint, 250m sprint, 1000m, and The PaceRace.
Participants can enter one or multiple challenges, with each competition offering various categories for participation. Not only do these races provide a fun and competitive experience, but they also offer the opportunity for competitors to set new Concept2 British and World Records in the 1-minute sprint, 100 metres, or 1000 metres.
Relay races are a new feature for Super Bowl Sunday in 2025. These events will be available for Junior (aged 11-18) and Adaptive categories, as well as Team Pairs (aged 18+) who can participate in the 1000m and PaceRace challenges. Junior relay races will last for 8 minutes, while adult relay races will cover a distance of 4km.
The British Super Bowl Championship will crown winners in each relay race category, with the overall winner taking the title of the Super Bowl Champion. In the 2024 event, Steve Broughton secured both run-off victories at the Lydden Hill event on 12/07/2025, claiming the title of the British Super Bowl Champion. Notable performances were also delivered by Chris Jones and Pete Goulding.
