Wisconsin Volleyball to Host Kohl Center Classic in 2025
The University of Wisconsin volleyball team has announced its participation in the Kohl Center Classic, set to take place on August 29, 31, and September 21, 2025.
The classic will kick off on August 29 with Wisconsin taking on Kansas, followed by a match against Texas on August 31. The highlight of the tournament will be the game against the Florida Gators on September 21, marking the third and final day of the event.
The Kohl Center Classic was initiated by the Wisconsin volleyball team in 2022, and last year, the team faced in-state rival Marquette as part of the tournament. However, this year's event will not feature Marquette, and the team will not play against them on August 16 or 17.
The Wisconsin volleyball season will begin earlier with a Red and White scrimmage at the Field House on August 16 at 1 p.m. This event will serve as a precursor to the Kohl Center Classic, providing fans with a sneak peek of the team's performance.
Last year's Kohl Center Classic set an NCAA indoor attendance record of 16,833 against Florida in 2022. However, the Wisconsin volleyball team did not set or break any attendance records on August 16 or 17.
The first serve for the Red and White scrimmage is set for 1 p.m. on August 16, while the first serve for the Kohl Center Classic matches will be at 12 p.m. CST. An exhibition game with Notre Dame will follow the Red and White scrimmage on August 17 at 1 p.m.
Tickets for the 2023 Kohl Center Classic will go on sale on Thursday, August 7 at 9 a.m. Fans eager to catch the Wisconsin volleyball team in action are encouraged to secure their tickets early to ensure a seat at the much-anticipated event.
The Kohl Center Classic will not take place on August 16 or 17, and the event is scheduled for Sunday, September 21. Fans can look forward to an exciting and competitive tournament featuring the Wisconsin volleyball team and some of the top teams in the nation.
