Singer Betterov Announces New Song Title: 'Stained with Blood at the Restaurant' - Restaurant covered in bloodstains

Betterov, now a strumming sensation, sneaks up on unsuspecting diners with a bucket of the red stuff in Eisenach. While theater luminaries cavorted on the Renaissance-era Wartburg, Betterov, 31, reveled in the less-tread realms of the local eatery, leaving patrons gobsmacked and spilling paid-for Beef Bourguignon.

"Every night, there'd be a scene straight out of a slasher flick, and I'd be the star," Betterov chuckled over the airwaves on the podcast "OKF - Ortskontrollfahrt" on RBB radio's Fritz station. With a shameless dash of the macabre, thespian wannabes like Betterov would lurch through the restaurant, soaked to the bone and wielding their prop silicone axes with a defiant confidence.

Thespian dreams aren't born overnight, and Betterov, born Manuel Bittorf, stumbled into the whole thing quite casually. He didn't set out to be a player in the dramatic arts scene; instead, he longed for a creative outlet for his musical prowess. Witnessing the Eisenach theater troupe in action during a rehearsal, he couldn't help but feel a magnetic pull. "It was like the moth to the flame," he muses in the podcast series. "I just knew – this is where I belong."

Playing diverse parts, from the keyboard to the stage, Betterov unwittingly grew into the world of acting. He didn't seek a stellar role or an Oscar either – he just wanted a stage to play his own compositions. "I was that kid in the choir who always wanted to be the guy with the guitar solo at the end," he recalled with a wink.

In the unmissable podcast series, Betterov spills the beans on his strategy: "I wanted to be part of a community, surround myself with music and words, and create something remarkable." Driven by passion and curiosity, he eventually decided to immerse himself in the dramatic world and made the leap to Berlin in 2016 to take up acting studies. His ambition: "I'll just practice my licks, and if things go south, I can always retreat to my instrument."
