It's a Union Berlin Double Act Heading to Hütteldorf 🤝

Get ready for some blast-from-the-past action this summer! Sk Rapid has announced that Leopold Querfeld and Christopher Trimmel, two old pals, will be joining forces at their Hütteldorf base. These two familiar faces will be testing out their skills against Union Berlin on July 20, right here at the Allianz Stadium.

And guess what? Just a year ago, Sk Rapid had a friendly face-off against Union Berlin at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei in Köpenick (talk about déjà vu!).

The Big Kick-off ⚽️The much-anticipated test match starts at 4 PM sharp.

Double Trouble? Let's Find Out! 🤨Querfeld, who previously left Union Berlin from Rapid last summer, has found his happy place in the German capital. The young defender, now 21, had donned the Rapid jersey for more than a dozen years and played 71 games for the pros.

As for Trimmel, he's now extended his contract with Union Berlin by another season. Though a return to Hütteldorf hasn't been ruled out, Trimmel, aged 38, has set a retirement age of 40. After the next season in Berlin, there'll be one last season left, fingers crossed!

Green-White will arrive as a well-wisher for the 75th anniversary of USV Scheiblingkirchen-Warth. Mark your calendars – the match is scheduled for Saturday, June 28, 2025, at the jubilarian's home, with a kick-off time of 5 PM.
