Rescue team saves cross-country skiing event after two emergencies

A cross-country skiing competition in Ob'yachevo received unexpected support on March 29. The Priluzskye Rescue Unit stepped in to handle two separate incidents during the event. Both situations required quick action to keep participants and supplies safe.

The first call for help came when a vehicle transporting food for the competition broke down. The incident happened near the 183rd kilometre mark on the Syktyvkar-Kirov road. Rescue teams arrived promptly and towed the stranded vehicle to a secure location.

Later, a female skier suffered a leg injury while on the course. Medical personnel were alerted, and she was carefully evacuated to the nearest medical station for treatment. The Priluzskye Rescue Unit ensured both situations were resolved without further complications. Their involvement allowed the competition to continue with minimal disruption.

The rescue team's quick response kept the event running smoothly. The broken-down vehicle was removed from the road, and the injured skier received medical attention. Organisers confirmed no further delays or incidents occurred during the race.
