The university campus in Paderborn wasn't left unscathed, either, with a swarm of items falling victim to the adverse weather.
Emergency services were far from doddle in Bielefeld and Detmold as well. Several distinguished sources divulged that Bielefeld faced two weather-related mishaps on A3, while Deutmold handled five incidents overnight, including fallen trees, nasty mud-walls, and hindered road routes.
A house in Gymnich, Rhein-Erft district, sprung a fire after a lightning zinger, fortunately leaving the occupants safe and sound.
