Ain't afraid to call 'em like I see 'em: Arrington slams Dems for fear-mongering over Medicaid cuts in Trump's budget

Get ready for some straight talk, folks! House Budget Committee Chair Rep. Jodey Arrington dives into the GOP's efforts to advance President Donald Trump's "big beautiful" budget bill while Democrats accuse them of attacking Medicaid.

Bloat and debt got Trump's "golden age" economy stuck, says one House Republican, urging leaders to summon the guts to push through Trump's America First policies and pass a budget reconciliation bill. That's right, Arrington from Texas spoke on "our site" last Sunday, expressing concerns over the spiraling spending and national debt – a combo he previously identified as the greatest threat to our country and our kids' future.

"Question is, will we muster the political courage to execute it?" Arrington asked, speaking about scaling back the bloated bureaucracy and tackling wartime-level debt, $2 trillion in yearly deficit spending that's on track to double, plus interest payments that surpass not only military spending but Medicare payments. Uh-oh! That sounds like a ticking time bomb.

"Wagon's falling apart!" Arrington warned. "Can't reach Trump's rocket ship economy, can't start the golden age. In fact, debt crisis looms if we don't handle these unsustainable deficits and debt."

Arrington believes the economy-boosting policies in the budget reconciliation bill and decreasing deficit spending, combined with entitlement reform, "will bend the curve on debt-to-GDP and deficit-to-GDP."

"Economic health restored if we follow the framework in the budget resolution!" Arrington said, though he left out the specifics regarding the bill's policies.

Democrats, however, cry foul, accusing Republicans of attempting to slash Medicaid, affecting America's most vulnerable. The White House, though, maintains that no cuts are planned for public entitlements like Social Security or Medicaid.

" Nah, we ain't gonna leave y'all high and dry!" stresses Arrington. "This bill alone won't pull us outta the debt hole, but it's a good first step and a down payment for our kids to be on sound financial ground, a sustainable path, and enjoy the same opportunities and freedom we do."
