Report suggests Son Heung-min considering transfer to Saudi Arabian club
FollowingTottenham Hotspur's victory over Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League match held in London on May 29, Son Heung-Min took a lap of honor to acknowledge the supporters' unwavering support. The South Korean international, who secured the team's qualification for the Champions League, expressed his gratitude in a moving display of sportsmanship.
Recently, Son Heung-Min's father, Son Woong-jung, previously faced a suspension over allegations stemming from child abuse incidents at the SON Football Academy. However, the suspension was dropped due to a technicality discovered by the Gangwon State Sports Council. It was found that the incident occurred before Son Woong-jung officially registered as a coach with the Korea Football Association in April 2024, making the relevant disciplinary regulations inapplicable [Sources: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5].
Son Heung-yun, Son Woong-jung's son and Son Heung-Min's brother, serves a six-month suspension for similar charges, as a result of the investigation by the Korea Sports Ethics Center [Sources: 1, 3, 5]. The allegations and subsequent disciplinary actions have not affected Son Heung-Min's performance on the pitch. His consistent and significant contributions to Tottenham Hotspur have endeared him to fans both within the UK and in his native Korea.
