Repeat drunk driver loses Lexus and license in Vladivostok crackdown
A Vladivostok man has received a suspended prison sentence after being caught driving under the influence for the second time. The court also ordered the confiscation of his Lexus and imposed a two-year driving ban. The case follows a wider crackdown on repeat offenders in Primorsky Territory. The incident took place in February 2025 on Krasnogo Znameni Avenue. Police detained the driver after he was found operating his vehicle under the influence of alcohol. This was not his first offence—he had previously faced administrative penalties for refusing a medical examination. The defendant will serve no immediate jail time but must comply with probation terms. His Lexus has been permanently seized, and he cannot drive for two years. The ruling reinforces stricter penalties for repeat drunk driving offences in the area.
