Renowned composer A.R. Rahman paid a visit to singer K.J. Yesudas in Dallas
In an exciting turn of events, A.R. Rahman's "The Wonderment Tour" is currently making its way across North America, marking the composer's biggest tour in the region. The tour, which kicked off in Vancouver on July 18, will conclude in Boston on August 18.
The tour, which covers sixteen major cities across the USA and Canada during July and August 2025, features A.R. Rahman's immersive live concert experience. Notable stops on this highly anticipated summer tour include Fairfax, Virginia, Sugar Land, Texas, and Nashville, Tennessee. Tickets are available for most dates, with special VIP packages including preshow soundcheck and Q&A sessions on select dates.
During a recent stop in Dallas, A.R. Rahman had the opportunity to meet the legendary K J Yesudas, fondly called Gaanagandharvan. The composer expressed his amazement at Yesudas' research work and appreciation for his love for Carnatic music. Yesudas, who holds the world record for singing and recording 16 new songs in four languages in a single day, was also present at the meeting.
Singer Shweta Prasad and Rakshita Suresh also posted pictures with Yesudas, sharing their visits to his home. Yesudas, who has sung over 50,000 songs in various Indian languages, has won the National Award for Best Male Playback singer eight times.
A.R. Rahman, who recently posted a picture of himself with Yesudas on Instagram, also appreciates Yesudas' contribution to Indian music. The composer is currently on The Wonderment Tour, which is believed to be his biggest North American tour to date.
The tour, which showcases Rahman's globally acclaimed music as an Oscar and Grammy-winning composer, also features Magnetic Music Season 4, which focuses on Rajasthan folk music and nature. The last concert of The Wonderment Tour will be held in Boston on August 18.
