Reno Omokri Faces ₦60 Billion Defamation Lawsuit by Nnamdi Kanu

Additionally, the suit seeks interest on all monetary awards at the rate of 10% per annum from the date of judgment until full payment.
Furthermore, the writ summons requests an order directing Omokri to publish a public apology to Nnamdi Kanu in two national newspapers and on Omokri's Twitter account within 7 days of the court's judgment. The apology should admit to the misrepresentation of facts regarding Nnamdi Kanu, IPOB, and #Ndigbo.
In a statement, Kanu's lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejimakor, commented that this is a muscular legal action against Reno Omokri seeking a retraction, apology, and damages for Omokri's defamatory publications. Ejimakor also called for others to take note and be guided, similar to Reno Omokri's actions.
