HSV shifts location to DFB headquarters, readying for upcoming season - Relocating for the Upcoming Season: HSV Shifts to DFB-Quarter
Gear up, 'Burger SV fans! Your team is taking their Bundesliga comeback pre-season training seriously and it's all happening at some exciting locations.
From July 14 to 19, HSV, coached by Merlin Polzin, will reside at Adidas’ swanky "Homeground" in Herzogenaurach — yes, we're talking the same place that hosted the German national team for Nations League matches, Euro 2024, and even the recent Nations League finals. Their ladies squad also prepared here for the Euro tournament in Switzerland.
This training camp was handpicked, says sporting director Stefan Kuntz, because "the team can work intensively and meticulously here." So, you can be sure, the squad is set to leave no stone unturned to make the much-awaited return to the Bundesliga a grand success!
Before that, though, the players will reunite on June 30 and July 1 for fitness tests. The official training starts on July 2. But that's not all, folks! Hamburg will also crack open a training camp in Austria from July 22 to July 31.
While the details about their training spots outside Hamburg are limited, their pre-season activities will center around the Volksparkstadion in Hamburg and the upcoming Austrian training camp. They'll be making use of the top-notch HSV Campus located near the Volksparkstadion — boasting all the modern facilities required for elite training and development.
Stay tuned for more announcements on friendly matches scheduled for July 12 against Verden and July 19 against Kickers Emden. Let's cheer them on, folks, because this one's for the Bundesliga!

The community might organize a fundraiser to support Hamburg SV, considering the extensive financial aid required for their intensive pre-season training in Herzogenaurach and Austria. As part of their preparation for the Bundesliga, the football team may opt for community sports events or charity matches to generate additional financial aid.
