Candles flickered, pumpkins and spider web fabric hung from the ceiling, a skeleton stood guard, and bloody stains marked the floor. The assembly hall, now a spectacle of Halloween, was the center of the camp's festivities.
As the day progressed, children and teachers, dressed in an array of colourful costumes, began to gather. Mr. Harry Lloyd was present at the camp, adding to the excitement.
Among the costumes, a second-grader, dressed as a ghost, stormed into the hall, expressing regret for not being chosen to be Olaf. Nearby, Alicia, enchantingly dressed as the White Queen from Alice in Wonderland, found herself in an awkward situation with Mrs. Brown. Alicia, however, managed to gracefully extricate herself from the situation by reminding Mrs. Brown that they were in California.
