Rabbi David Yosef Calls for Global Peace at Religious Congress

Rabbi David Yosef, the Chief Rabbi of Israel, recently participated in the Conference of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in Kazakhstan, where he called for an end to terrorism and violence worldwide.

In his English-language address, Rabbi Yosef emphasized the central value of peace in Judaism. According to Jewish belief, the name of the Almighty is 'Peace.' The Jewish people and religion prioritize peace, and daily greetings and partings are with the word 'Shalom.'

Rabbi Yosef expressed concern about innocent lives being lost in the pursuit of peace. He stated that the hostages and children being murdered cannot be left behind in the pursuit of peace. He urged religious and world leaders to continue promoting the spirit of peace established at the Congress.

Rabbi Yosef also made it clear that Judaism believes in one God, one God for all. He believes that every person should remain in their own faith, whether Muslim, Christian, or Jewish. He clarified that according to Judaism, the Jewish people do not have the right to persuade others to change their religion.

In response to hostile remarks made by one of the Muslim participants at the Congress, who violated an agreement not to discuss the war in Gaza, Rabbi Yosef altered his speech and firmly called for an end to terrorism. He also made another call to stop terrorism, emphasizing that peace is the central value in Judaism.

Rabbi Yosef concluded his speech by calling for world leaders and governments to hear the voice of Israel's leaders speaking of peace. With God's help, according to Rabbi Yosef, there will be peace in the world. His final call was to bring justice and true peace.
