"Release Date Confirmed for Gen V Season 2 – First Trailer Reveals Dramatic Events Surrounding Chance Perdomo's Character"

Drop by Amazon Prime Video for a blood-soaked return to Godolkin University! That's right, folks – Gen V season 2 is hitting your screens on September 17! Take a peek at the mind-blowing first trailer, featuring your favorite returning heroes and a whole lot of carnage.

In the pulse-pounding footage, Jaz Sinclair's Marie Moreau leads the charge, prepping for an all-out rebellion against Godolkin's mysterious new Dean. "Together," she declares to her pals, "we stand!"

According to Amazon's official synopsis, Godolkin's new Dean propagates a curriculum that amplifies students' powers. Cate (Maddie Phillips) and Sam (Asa Germann) are hailed as superhero idols, while Marie, Jordan, and Emma return to college, still grappling with trauma from the previous season.

The gang finds themselves smack-dab in the middle of a simmering war between humans and Supes, both on and off campus. As they uncover a clandestine program dating back to the school's founding that could have dire consequences, Marie's role in the mystery unfolds.

Newcomer Hamish Linklater joins the cast as Dean Cipher, set to shake things up. The main ensemble also includes Lizze Broadway as Emma Meyer and Maddie Phillips as Cate Dunlap.

Fans have eagerly waited for season 2 for nearly two years – production was delayed by the unfortunate passing of star Chance Perdomo in 2023. However, the team decided to forge ahead with the show, thereby paying tribute to Perdomo by rewriting the season without recasting his character, Andre. This absence is addressed in the trailer with Sean Patrick Thomas's Polarity character expressing outrage over Andre's disappearance.
