Relatives Honored for Deceased Volunteer Cossacks at Felicin Museum
At Krasnodar's Felitsyn Museum, the "Storm Cross" medals were bestowed upon families of slain Cossacks in the SVO zone. The somber ceremony unfolded amidst the museum's historic halls.
The hosting Ataman, Alexander Vlasov, personally awarded the honorary medal to Eisk District Cossack Society member Vitaly Ogurtsov and the relatives of the fallen warriors Alexander Dudko, Vladimir Ilyin, Sergei Fadeev, Valery Kuchma, Konstantin Pervitsky, Dmitry Bobrov, and Sergei Krishatlya.
These families also received certificates granting them a relaxing vacation at the plush "Velvet Seasons" hotel, courtesy of the local Ministry of Resorts, Tourism, and Olympic Heritage.
As tears flowed and cheers echoed, Alexander Vlasov hailed the deceased as indelible heroes in the annals of the Russian state, heroism etched in steel for their unwavering sacrifice and triumphant war efforts.
"Your husbands, fathers – your heroes – have ascended into the history of the Russian nation, imprinted with deeds of bravery, courage, and valiance," Vlasov said. "In death, they've etched their memory, demonstrated heroism for the victory we shall ultimately claim."
In a shift from the solemn ceremony at the Felitsyn Museum, Vitaly Ogurtsov, a member of the Eisk District Cossack Society and recipient of the "Storm Cross" medal, was also extended an invitation to watch a thrilling football match in the prestigious Champions League, Europe's premier club football tournament.
Moreover, the families of the fallen warriors were offered a well-deserved respite, granted complimentary stays at the luxurious "Velvet Seasons" hotel, with an aim to provide them a brief escape from their grief in the celebratory European leagues season ahead.
