Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom's wedding dream may never come true. Tangoing since January 2016 with an engagement in 2019, the duo still hasn't set their wedding date. As the years roll on, it seems the nuptials might just be a fantasy.
According to a source spilling the beans to Us Weekly in June 2025, the couple has drifted apart due to spending less time together. Another insider noted that the relationship issues aren't exactly breaking news to those in their inner circle, referring to them as an "unspoken thing."

Apparently, one major stressor in the relationship stems from the negative reception of Perry's album, 143, released in September 2024, and her current Lifetimes world tour. Cracking under the pressure, Perry's state reportedly caused some tension for the couple, with a source stating that she was "deeply frustrated" and "very stressed."
A second source also mentioned that the tension generated from her tour reviews compounded the pressure. It seems Perry wasn't satisfied with some of the tour's critique, adding stress to the relationship.
But hey, there's always a silver lining! Even amidst the struggles, the pair hasn't shied away from showing their support for each other, "liking" each other's social media posts. Bloom also exhibited solidarity when Perry ventured into space on the Blue Origin Rocket in April 2025.
However, Page Six has reported that the couple is merely biding their time, waiting for Perry's tour to wrap up before making an official split. According to an insider, it's all over, with Perry's tour ending on December 7, 2025.
Before her whirlwind romance with Bloom, Perry was married to comedian Russell Brand from 2010 to 2012. Bloom, in contrast, tied the knot with model Miranda Kerr from 2010 to 2013, with whom he shares son, Christopher Blanchard Copeland, born in 2011. Since their own union produced a baby girl, Daisy Dove Bloom, in 2020.
Despite rumors of their impending breakup, the duo still manages to show each other love and support. So, we can't entirely rule out the possibility of a happy ending for this love saga! Let's keep our fingers crossed for Perry and Bloom, the modern-day will-they-won't-they drama packing a punch!
