The Berlin Volleys served up a knockout performance in the opening round of the German Volleyball Championship's semifinals. Last year's champs demolished the Grizzlys Giesen 3:0 (33:31, 25:11, 25:16) on Saturday, marking a formidable start to what could be a best-of-five series for the title. A total of 4123 spectators witnessed the thrilling action at the Max-Schmeling-Hall.
Younggun outside hitter Moritz Reichert was the driving force behind the Berlin team, emulating a champ with his dynamic play.
