Eid al-Adha is one of the most significant Islamic festivals in Malaysia. It commemorates the act of obedience by Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) in his willingness to sacrifice his son as commanded by God. The celebration includes special prayers in mosques, the sacrificial slaughter of livestock, continuous acts of charity, family gatherings, and communal feasts.
This festival is a time of reflection, gratitude, and unity among Muslims across the country, serving as a reminder of God's mercy and the prophet's unwavering faith.
