K-pop Sensation Blackpink's Deadline World Tour Excludes Kuala Lumpur

In a surprise move that has left Malaysian fans disappointed, the upcoming Deadline world tour by South Korean sensation Blackpink will not include a stop in Kuala Lumpur. The tour itinerary, announced officially, covers various cities across Asia, North America, and Europe.

The iconic K-pop quartet, comprising Jennie, Lisa, Rose, and Jisoo, will embark on the tour from October 18, 2025, in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Some of the other cities on the tour include Bangkok, Jakarta, Singapore, Tokyo, Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, Paris, Milan, Barcelona, and London. However, contrary to expectations, Kuala Lumpur is conspicuously absent from the list.

Blackpink will perform in Bangkok from October 24 to 26 at Rajamangala National Stadium. Jakarta will host the group on Nov 1 and 2 at Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, followed by Singapore's National Stadium on Nov 29 and 30. The tour will then traverse to North America and Europe before concluding in Tokyo and Hong Kong in January 2026.

Blackpink last performed in Malaysia in 2023, leaving their fans hoping for a return visit. Their absence in the latest tour itinerary has caused much disappointment among the Malaysian user base. The reasons behind the omission of Kuala Lumpur from the Deadline world tour have not been explicitly stated in the official announcements or the reported schedules. Typically, the selection of tour locations is influenced by multiple factors such as logistics, venue availability, local demand, scheduling conflicts, and strategic decisions made by management and promoters.

While Malaysia is a significant K-pop market, the group and their management have, for this particular tour leg, chosen to focus on other cities in Southeast Asia, like Bangkok, Jakarta, and Singapore. Fans in Malaysia may hold out hope for future concert dates or additional stops in subsequent tours or special events.

Despite the excitement generated by Blackpink's Deadline World Tour, Malaysian fans will not get a chance to see the K-pop superstars live in Kuala Lumpur, as the city is missing from the tour's list of destinations. This absence comes after fans had hoped for a return visit following Blackpink's last concert in Malaysia in 2023.
