The 26th Latin Grammy Awards are set to take place on November 13 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, with the ceremony to be broadcast on TelevisaUnivision platforms in the United States starting at 5:00 PM local time (00:00 GMT on Thursday).

This year's awards promise to be a spectacle, with a multitude of talented artists vying for top honours. One of the most anticipated categories is the Best Album of the Year, where a diverse array of contenders have been nominated. Among them are Carín León with 'Palabra De To's (Seca)', Cuban-American star Gloria Estefan with 'Raíces', Puerto Rican artist Rauw Alejandro with 'Cosa nuestra', and Spanish singer Alejandro Sanz with '¿Y ahora qué?'. Additionally, Bad Bunny's album 'DeBÍ TiRAR Más FOToS (DTMF)' has been nominated in three top categories, including Album of the Year.

Another notable nominee is Brazilian transgender singer Liniker, who received six nominations for her album 'Caju'. The Argentine duo Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso, who have been gaining significant attention, have received 10 nominations. Their album 'Papota', which presents a satire on the music industry and the pressure it exerts on artists, is nominated for Best Album and Best Alternative Music Album. Two of their songs, '#Tetas' and 'El día del amigo', are also nominated for Best Song and Best Record of the Year.

The nominees for "Best Female Singer" at the 26th Latin Grammy Awards, besides Natalia Lafourcade, are not explicitly listed. However, Cuban singers like Malena Burke and Gloria Estefan are nominated in other categories.

In the "Best New Artist" category, the competition is fierce. Contenders include Venezuelan Alleh, Colombian Annasofia, Spanish Yerai Cortés, Brazilian jazz artist Juliane Gamboa, Cuban Camila Guevara, Colombian Isadora, Mexican Alex Luna, Brazilian Sued Nunes, and Mexican sisters Paloma Morphy and Ruzzi.

Mexican composer Edgar Barrera is another standout, having received 10 nominations for his work on Karol G's 'Si antes te hubiera conocido' and for 'Cancionera' by Natalia Lafourcade. Barrera is nominated for Record of the Year and Song of the Year with 'Si antes te hubiera conocido', and for Best Singer-Songwriter Album, Best Singer-Songwriter Song, and Song of the Year with 'Cancionera'.

The final round of voting to determine the Latin Grammy winners will begin on October 1. Be sure to tune in to find out who will take home the prestigious awards!
