A Versatile Whirlwind in Defense and Attack
ESV's lucky find, Milena Stürenburg, is awe-inspiring, offering explosive and dynamic attacks along with impressive defensive skills. Handball and the Stürenburg Family
Handball has been the heart and soul of the Stürenburg clan. Father Thorsten coached all four kids at TS Hoykenkamp, where Milena started playing at the tender age of four. She subsequently juggled a double license with the HSG Hude/Falkenburg's upper league C youth. In 2021, she transferred to the Blomberg sports boarding school. There, she played alongside her sister Emma in the A youth and 3rd League.
Her brothers are also sports enthusiasts: Mika (14) clinched the regional league championship with the ATSV Habenhausen-Bremen, and the 11-year-old Pekka represents their home club.
Achievements Piled High and New Horizons
Despite her youth, Milena Stürenburg has already built an impressive résumé. She claimed the title of German vice-champion with the B youth before going on to win the German championship with the Blomberg A youth. Her accolades include appearances in the 1st Bundesliga, Europacup, and DHB Cup.
Now in Regensburg, she's gearing up for her economics studies and her burgeoning handball career.
