Refurbished Skate Facility in Algarve Region
The Vila Real de Santo António Sports Complex, a new €93,000 investment in the community, is set to open its doors this evening. The complex, which includes a Skate Park, is part of the municipality's commitment to creating infrastructure that encourages active and healthy lifestyles.
The opening ceremony commences at 6:00 pm with a captivating dance performance by the VRSA Regional Conservatory. Following this, a commemorative plaque will be unveiled, and the first skate laps will be led by local athletes and guests. A skateboarding lesson hosted by the WallRide Association will follow in the afternoon.
Later in the evening, at 9:45 pm, the winning project of the Youth Participatory Budget will be announced. This civic initiative, aimed at promoting democratic participation among young people, will see the winning project come to life.
As the night unfolds, at 10:00 pm, Papillon will take to the stage for a live performance. The celebrations will conclude with a DJ set in Jardim da Avenida da República.
The construction of the Vila Real de Santo António Sports Complex began as a strategic investment in youth and the promotion of physical activity. The complex is designed for athletes of varying experience levels, making it an inclusive space for all.
The opening night celebrations and the upcoming events coincide with International Youth Day, further emphasising the municipality's dedication to investing in youth infrastructure and promoting physical activity in the community.
