Refereeing criticism levied by Golenkov following Rostov's victory over Spartak
In the ongoing Russian Cup, Rostov secured a hard-fought victory against Spartak with a final score of 2:1. Egor Golenkov, a player for Rostov, expressed dissatisfaction with the refereeing during the match, particularly focusing on penalty area infringements that he believed were not penalized.
Following the victory, Rostov now has 3 points and finds itself in 4th place in group C of the Russian Cup. The team's next challenge comes on October 2, as they travel to Dynamo Makhachkala. Dynamo's coach, Hasanbi Bidjiev, will be eager to lead his team to a win against the visiting Rostov.
Meanwhile, Spartak, currently in second place with 7 points, will face Dynamo Nizhny Novgorod a day earlier. The match between Spartak and Pari NN is scheduled for October 1.
The coach of Spartak, Gadzhev, has not commented on the possible disqualification of Stanovich, but Egor Golenkov's displeasure was not limited to the Rostov-Spartak match. He also criticized the inconsistency in how referees interpret similar situations and their use of VAR, particularly in added time during previous matches of the season.
In a conversation with Match TV, Golenkov highlighted the inconsistency in how referees handle penalty area infringements, pointing out that similar situations were not penalized during the match.
The agent of Baturin has called the evaluation of Transfermarkt at 23 million euros, but the conversation did not delve into any new facts about the Rostov-Spartak match, the Russian Cup group C standings, or the refereeing issues.
Bulykin, however, evaluated Dynamo's victory over Sochi as not reflecting the real strength of the teams, suggesting that the match may have been influenced by the refereeing decisions.
As the Russian Cup continues, both Rostov and Spartak will be looking to build on their recent victories when they face their upcoming opponents. The matches promise to be exciting, with both teams eager to climb the group C standings.
