Redesigned waterfront areas now open for public view
The 65th International Boat Show in Genoa is set to take place from the 18th to the 23rd of September, transforming the city's waterfront into a maritime spectacle. The event, held at the new Genoa Levante waterfront, is a major attraction for prestigious yachts, superyachts, sailing boats, and multihulls.
Upon arrival, visitors will pass through a thematic area dedicated to the sporting world, housed within a sports hall that has been temporarily repurposed for the boat show. This area, which was partially used for Euroflora 2025, serves as an exciting prelude to the main exhibition.
The main exhibition area still features a panorama of the foil world, with exhibitions of 5-6 meter units. Over 1,000 boats are showcased throughout the event, with 23 new shipyards participating. The boatbuilding companies present at the show can be found in the exhibition pavilion of the former Sea Fair, although specific company names were not explicitly listed in the available sources.
The former Genoa Fair's tent structure is part of the exhibition, divided into three macro-areas. One area focuses on technical sailing accessories, another on tourist port infrastructure, and a central one on conferences and presentations (Sea Theatre). Visitors can also find sailing catamarans near the new Pilot Tower, designed by Renzo Piano.
Upon exiting the tent structure, visitors will find the world of sailing boats on one side and motorboats equipped with outboard engines on the other. The larger outer dock displays yachts with inboard motors from 12 to 35 meters, along with an area dedicated to maxi-ribs.
The excellence pavilion, designed by Jean Nouvel, now borders the sea on all sides. On the ground floor, boats with outboard motors and inflatable boats are on display. On the second floor of the excellence pavilion, the stands of 400 brands of accessories and components are hosted.
Visitors can explore exhibition areas around the building upon exiting the sports hall through the new Levante gate, where 7-8 meter boats are displayed on land. The parking lots under the hall offer 500 parking spaces for Show visitors, with an additional 200 spaces available in Corso Aurelio Saffi.
This year's boat show continues to feature over 1,000 boats, 23 new shipyards, and exhibitors from 45 countries. In total, there are 123 novelties and 96 premiers being showcased at the show, making it an unmissable event for anyone with an interest in the maritime world.
