Redblacks to field Dru Brown as their starting quarterback in their upcoming game against the slumping Blue Bombers.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Ottawa Redblacks are set to square off this weekend at TD Place, with both teams looking to turn their seasons around.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers, currently standing at a 6-7 record, will be led by Chris Streveler at quarterback. Streveler steps in for Zach Collaros, who is still sidelined with a head injury. Streveler has thrown 10 interceptions this season, but he will be looking to lead the team to victory.

On the other side of the field, the Ottawa Redblacks will have their starting quarterback, Dru Brown, back in action. Brown has been out since injuring his knee on August 14, but he is ready to take the field once again. Brown has gone 152-for-209 for 1,842 yards, 12 touchdowns and 5 interceptions through 7 starts this season.

The Redblacks have had a tough time getting off to a good start this season. They have a minus-65 point differential in the first quarter and have managed only 4 points across their last 7 opening quarters. Ottawa has also been forced to chase games frequently, which has made it difficult for them to find success.

The Redblacks will be without veteran punter Richie Leone, who will miss the game due to the death of his mother. Running back William Stanback and right tackle Parker Moorer will also not be available for Ottawa.

The Redblacks' defence is anxious for another chance after their loss against the B.C. Lions. Head coach Bob Dyce stated that the team needs to support Dru Brown for success.

For the Blue Bombers, defensive back Jamal Parker will be back in the lineup after a six-game absence. Nic Demski is on an 84-game reception streak and needs one to reach the No. 5 spot all-time among Blue Bombers' receivers.

The Redblacks have lost their last two games, while the Blue Bombers have lost their last three. Returner Devonte Dedmon is back in the lineup for Ottawa, but will they be able to break their losing streak and come out on top against the Blue Bombers?

The game between the Ottawa Redblacks and Winnipeg Blue Bombers promises to be a close one, with both teams looking to turn their seasons around. Stay tuned for updates on this exciting matchup.
