Roglic Commits to Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe Through 2026

Slovenian cyclist Primoz Roglic has secured his future with Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe, as the team has confirmed his contract for the 2026 season. This announcement comes after speculations about his future plans for the final months of the 2025 season.

Roglic, who joined Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe in a mid-contract transfer in 2023, has been a valuable addition to the team. Despite a challenging start to the season, marked by injuries and illness that forced him to abandon the Giro d'Italia, Roglic showed resilience during the Tour de France. He finished the race in fifth place overall but slipped to eighth after attempting to win a stage in the Alps.

Meanwhile, the team has also announced the arrival of Remco Evenepoel for the 2026 season, making Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe a formidable force in the cycling world. The Belgian rider's departure from Soudal-QuickStep is one of the biggest transfers of the season.

The team is building a strong leadership trio for 2026 around Evenepoel, Roglic, and Florian Lipowitz, who has emerged as a promising talent. Lipowitz's season highlight was his third place in the Critérium du Dauphiné before the Tour de France, a performance he managed to replicate until the final stage in Paris. Lipowitz's impressive showing earned him the best young rider competition and a third-place finish in this year's Tour de France.

Lipowitz is likely to lead Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe alongside Evenepoel next July, while Roglic's role in 2026 may evolve. He could potentially support the team's GC leaders or target other races, and it could be his final Tour de France.

The team's management group has also undergone changes, with Ralph Aldag and Enrico Gasparotto leaving and Sven Vanthourenhout hired as a replacement. The team manager, Ralph Denk, will discuss Roglic's future goals and motivations after the Tour de France.

Achieving a podium finish in Paris with Lipowitz was a significant milestone for the team, marking another achievement in their history. With Roglic, Lipowitz, and Evenepoel, Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe is poised for a successful 2026 season.
