Recreational Activities at the Park's Athletic Fields
Neuss, Germany - The much-anticipated "Sports in the Park" season is set to return for its 7th anniversary, running from June 1st to August 31st, 2023. This three-month celebration of health, fitness, and community spirit is sponsored by the city of Neuss's sports department, with additional support from the North Rhine-Westphalia State Sports Association this year.
The season will offer a variety of activities, including the popular return of Zumba every Wednesday at 6 PM on the asphalt area "Am Eierdieb" in the city garden. Other weekly offerings include Tai Chi every Saturday at 4 PM in the North Park, Pilates on Tuesdays at 5 PM, and Yoga on Fridays at 6 PM on the "Hohe Parkstraße" meadow.
In addition to these, participants can expect a range of activities such as general fitness training, XCO® walking, modern line dance, and other health and fitness sports, based on typical offerings in similar events.
Last year, the sports department counted nearly 8,000 participants, marking the highest number since the project started in 2017. This year, organisers, including the sports department, the city sports association, participating Neuss sports clubs, and instructors, are looking forward to another successful season and hope for many more participants.
