In the heart of Hünfeld, on a Saturday evening at 7:30 pm, the historic St. Ulrich Church played host to the multigenerational musical "Elija – Einer nervt immer". This production, with text by Dietmar Fischenich and music by Joachim Raabe, has been performed in several churches across the region, indicating a community or church-based setting for these performances.
The storyline, cast, and production history of the musical remain undisclosed, but it appears to be connected to local or regional church groups, suggesting a focus on themes suitable for multigenerational audiences within these communities.
The following day, on Sunday at 3 pm, St. Elisabeth Church Tann-Lahrbach welcomed the musical. The lyrics suggest that the story of the prophet Elijah, who experiences self-doubt and receives help and strength from others, is particularly relevant in today's world.
The musical portrays Elijah as an annoying character, and the performances will take place at three different locations: the Domdechaneigarten Fulda, St. Ulrich Church in Hünfeld, and St. Elisabeth Church Tann-Lahrbach. The premiere was held at the Domdechaneigarten Fulda on Friday evening at 7 pm.
The musical encourages the discovery of the prophet within oneself and was performed by "Elija – einer nervt immer" by Dietmar Fischenich (lyrics) and Joachim Raabe (music). Approximately fifty people aged 0 to 75 participated in a multigenerational vacation camp organised by the Family and Relationships department of the Fulda diocese and the "gemeinsam mit dem Michaelshof e.V." association.
During the camp, Esther Dürolf, Relindis Knöchelmann, Veronika Klawitter, Mechthild Carlet, and Thomas Nüdling served as guides for various activities, including singing, acting, dancing, sewing, sawing, and screwing.
Admission for the musical performances is free, but donations are welcome. This community-focused event promises to be an enriching and engaging experience for all ages.
