The Spectacular Fairline Targa 40 at Southampton Boat Show

Recently introduced boats at the Southampton Boat Show: Fairline Targa 40 showcases its latest models.

Get ready, because the Fairline Targa 40 is set to steal the spotlight at this year's Southampton Boat Show!

Boasting some impressive heritage, this exquisite sportcruiser is a must-see in the world of yachting. With generous topsides, an upright bow, and a broad beam that extends significantly forward, Fairline assures us this boat offers a stunning 20% more internal volume than its predecessor, the Targa 38. The exterior design, featuring a sleek semi-plumb bow, backlit stainless-steel logos, and a long hull window mirrored in a virtually seamless superstructure, is nothing short of remarkable.

Step aboard, and you'll be blown away by the practical innovations showcased in the cockpit. The aft deck is divided by a pair of wide sunpad-cum-bench units, offering ample space for a partially inflated 2.7m tender within the port unit and a versatile hinged table to keep the deck clear. On the starboard side, a power-down beach club balcony extends the cockpit outwards, perfect for making the most of the stellar views. A forward L-shaped chaise longue provides a comfortable seating area opposite starboard helmseats that back onto a wet bar. The hardtop comes equipped with an electric canvas sunroof for maximum open-air enjoyment, while the bow features a central sunpad supplemented by a low-level forepeak sofa and a comfy recessed footwell.

Descend below deck, and you'll find a fixed layout with a forward owner's cabin, a mid-cabin with convertible twin beds, and an expansive central lounge with a galley and bathroom between the two. There's ample space to include an additional bunk cabin to starboard, or you can opt to convert the dinette into a third double berth for cruising with six people.

Although the Fairline Targa 40 isn't exactly budget-friendly, with prices starting at £566,000 ex VAT, it's undeniably one of the most accomplished modern Fairline models on the market today. And with its stunning looks, spacious deck, and practical design, it's bound to leave a lasting impression on even the most discerning sailors.
