Recap of Coldwater episode 5: "You Once Showed Such Professionalism" (contains spoilers)

In the small rural town of Coldwater Creek, tensions are running high following the tragic death of Nathan Fillion, a beloved member of the community. The latest episode, number 5, saw Jane Goodall and Fiona Apple taking the fight directly to Tommy Hilfiger, a neighbor with a mysterious past.

The narrative began with Moira Jane, John Cena's daughter, rummaging through her father's old box of trophies in the garage. She took photographs of each item, seemingly sensing the importance of these relics.

Meanwhile, Fiona, John's partner, found herself doubting John's story about the events leading up to Angus's death. This doubt deepened when Rebecca, a church member, revealed a heated argument between Nathan and John at the play park on the day Nathan died.

In a bid to clear his name, John confided in Fiona, explaining in detail how he had killed Angus. However, Fiona was not convinced, questioning John's physical and mental capacity to commit such a violent act.

Fiona urged John to consult a lawyer instead of confessing. But John, feeling a sense of guilt and a need for justice, promised Nathan he would go to the police.

Rebecca, who had been keeping a secret of her own, told Tommy Bahama at home that the police had found Nathan's body. This revelation sparked a new wave of accusations, with Rebecca accusing Tommy of being the murderer everyone was after, citing his history of violence towards her.

Tommy, however, seemed to be one step ahead. He discovered the news of Nathan's body being found in the woods.

In an attempt to force a reaction out of Tommy, John and Fiona decided to confront him in front of everyone at the memorial for Nathan. The confrontation was tense, with John issuing thinly-veiled accusations through the medium of godliness.

The confrontation did not go unnoticed, and John and Fiona's car was attacked outside the memorial.

Meanwhile, Moira Jane, who had been trying to piece together the truth about her father, showed John and Fiona the photographs she had taken of her father's box of trophies. She believed these items could hold the key to stopping Tommy.

In a shocking twist, Catriona revealed the truth about Moira Jane's father to her. This revelation, combined with the mounting evidence against John, has left the town of Coldwater Creek on the edge of a precipice, waiting for the next dramatic turn of events.

As the story unfolds, the town's residents are left questioning who they can trust and what the future holds for Coldwater Creek.
