Rebel Wolves unveils *The Blood of Dawnwalker*, a vampire RPG with a deadly 30-day curse

Rebel Wolves, a new studio formed by veterans of The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077, has announced its first game. The Blood of Dawnwalker is a single-player RPG set in 14th-century Europe, where players take on the role of a man who becomes a vampire by night. The title is scheduled for release in 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

The game follows Coen, a protagonist cursed to transform into a vampire each night. His mission must be completed within 30 days and 30 nights, though the open world remains fully explorable even after the main story ends. Side quests and free-roaming activities won't be affected by the countdown, but accepting certain main quests will directly influence the time left before the climax.

Rebel Wolves was founded by Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, who previously served as game director on The Witcher 3. He is joined by his brother, Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz, as creative director. The team also includes Daniel Sadowski (design director), Jakub Szamalek (narrative director), and Bartłomiej Gaweł (art director), all of whom worked on The Witcher series and Cyberpunk 2077. The Blood of Dawnwalker blends historical settings with supernatural themes, offering players a mix of narrative-driven choices and open-world exploration. The studio has emphasised that the game's structure balances urgency with freedom, allowing for deep immersion in its dark medieval world.

With a 2026 launch planned, The Blood of Dawnwalker marks Rebel Wolves' entry into the RPG genre. The game's time-limited main quest and persistent open world set it apart from traditional vampire-themed titles. Fans of the team's previous work will likely watch closely as development progresses.
