Starting October 1, 2022, the new series of Grand Designs and its companion podcast, Grand Designs: Deconstructed, will be available on various platforms. Hosted by Kevin McCloud, Grand Designs showcases innovative home builds, while Grand Designs: Deconstructed, a new visual podcast, delves deeper into the behind-the-scenes stories.
Ozzy Osbourne Documentaries
October 2022 will see the release of two documentaries about the late rock legend Ozzy Osbourne. "Coming Home" will air on the BBC, while "Ozzy: No Escape From Now" will premiere on Paramount+. Ozzy Osbourne, known for his groundbreaking contributions to heavy metal music, passed away on July 22, 2022.
A Tale Of Two Cities
Next year, MGM+ and BBC will air an adaptation of Charles Dickens' classic novel, A Tale Of Two Cities. Kit Harington, famously known for his role in Game of Thrones, will lead the cast. The story, set in London in 1782, follows a young woman, Lucie Manette, who receives a message suggesting her father, believed dead for almost 20 years, may still be alive. Tensions between France and Britain are prominently featured in the adaptation as Lucie navigates her journey.
Pilgrimage in Northumberland
The current season of Pilgrimage, a religious program that sees celebrities undergo a journey of faith, is being filmed in Northumberland, England. Tasha Ghouri, a former contestant on Strictly Come Dancing and Love Island, and Rain Spencer, one of the breakout stars of Prime Video's The Summer I Turned Pretty, are among the participants. Northumberland, historically significant as a county that played a key role in spreading Christianity across the UK, is also home to The Pilgrim's Way, a famous route leading to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne.
QI's Return
Fans of the quiz show QI will be delighted to know that it's returning to BBC Two this autumn. Sandi Toksvig will resume hosting duties alongside Alan Davies as regular team captain.
The Summer I Turned Pretty
In The Summer I Turned Pretty, Rain Spencer plays Taylor Jewel, a supportive friend to the main character, Belly Conklin. The series is available on Prime Video.
