'Duck Dynasty' Legacy Continues in a New Era: 'The Revival' Unfolds
"Reality TV Show 'Duck Dynasty' highlights Willie Robertson's transition to 'semi-retirement'"
Sad news struck the Robertson family as Phil Robertson, a beloved star of 'Duck Dynasty,' recently revealed his battle with Alzheimer's, leaving fans apprehensive about his participation in the latest series, 'Duck Dynasty: The Revival.' Outgoing and energetic as ever, Willie Robertson wasted no time filling his newfound free-time, asserting, "Go big, or go home" before taking charge of his grandchildren.
'Duck Dynasty: The Revival' officially premiered on June 1 following a daring rebranding of the family-owned shooting-gear empire, Duck Commander.
While doubtful that her husband could manage on his own with their seven high-spirited grandkids, Korie invited her mother over as a precaution. However, Willie felt confident and relished the opportunity, boasting, "I'll take all of 'em."
Willie's grandkids affectionately call him Dubbs (short for W), and Korie, K-Mama. The new season also found Willie connecting with his eccentric Uncle Si, who plans to bag a mythical creature: Bigfoot. With a unique sense of humor, Si proposed developing a new documentary following their Bigfoot hunt, claiming the elusive beast emits a distinctive odor.
Determined to continue the Robertson family legacy, Willie is fully dedicated to growing the brand and ensuring their generations to come know the proud history.
In a six-member interview with Digital, Willie alongside Korie and their children offered further insights. Despite Phil's health challenges (confirmed by Jase Robertson on a podcast, indicating Phil was battling Alzheimer's), his absence from 'The Revival' premiere party on June 1 wasn't surprising. Willie noted that his mother, Miss Kay Robertson, is facing her own health complications and wishes to extend his support.
Sadie Robertson has revealed that a Season 2 is already in production and will include more of the original cast. The upcoming season is set to air at 9/8c on A&E.
