Reality show personality, Oxenknecht, dismissed from program titled "Find Your Bliss"
In a surprising turn of events, German reality TV star Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht found himself in the midst of a legal battle, all while being eliminated from the popular Sat.1 show "Villa of Temptation."
Ochsenknecht's journey to Austria was not an ordinary one. He was transferred to Innsbruck via a multi-day journey with stops at various prisons. The elimination from the reality show was announced in a new episode aired before a planned court hearing against Ochsenknecht.
The court hearing in Innsbruck is related to alleged serious fraud involving an unpaid bill from a Tyrolean hotel. Ochsenknecht was provisionally arrested and taken into custody at Hamburg Airport at the end of June. After extradition to Austria and bail, the trial concluded with Ochsenknecht agreeing to pay a fine of 18,000 euros, payable in six installments.
The charges stem from a 2021 birthday celebration stay in Kirchberg, Austria, where Ochsenknecht was billed nearly 14,000 euros for accommodation, meals, and transport. Despite court orders, Ochsenknecht did not pay for years. The case was settled without a criminal conviction, and the proceedings will only be closed once all payments are made on time.
Upon hearing the announcement of his elimination from the reality show, Ochsenknecht raised his fists. After his elimination, he expressed that he was happy about it and considered others as deserving the elimination more than him.
Interestingly, Ochsenknecht was the candidate who received the most votes in the vote among the candidates, suggesting a strong fan base. His time on the show was considered by him as a nice experience.
The reality show finale was recorded in Thailand before airing, adding another layer of intrigue to Ochsenknecht's unexpected departure. After being released on bail, Ochsenknecht will face the court again on Friday in Innsbruck.
