Real Housewives of Orange County's Emily Simpson Hints at Troubled Relationship Between Tamra Judge and Gretchen Rossi (Exclusive)
Gear up for a fresh serving of drama from the OC housewives! The age-old feud between Tamra Judge and Gretchen Rossi is back in the spotlight as season 19 of The Real Housewives of Orange County approaches.
Emily Simpson, one of the show's cast members, let slip some juicy details about the upcoming season, hinting at dust being kicked up between Tamra and Gretchen that's been simmering since prehistoric times.
"Now, truthfully it's like an eternal toxic beef between them both since the era of the dinosaurs at this point," Emily, 49, shared with Us Weekly, while celebrating LSPACE's collaboration with Aloha at Swirl Boutique in Carlsbad, California. "I personally believe I would've moved past it, but neither seems to have."
Expect fireworks as viewers witness these two face off again, attempting to resolve their differences once and for all. Emily promises a history lesson, filled with references to the past. "Just keep in mind, a lot of past references are in store," she teased.
Tamra, 57, and Gretchen, 46, have a long history, having been castmates during seasons 4 to 8. They've shared some unforgettable moments, like when Tamra tried to get Gretchen 'naked wasted' during a dinner party back in the day.
Fast forward to 2023, Gretchen is back as a friend for season 19, following a 12-year absence from the show. Emily, who's known Gretchen for almost a decade, admitted there were surprises this season.
"Let's just say Gretchen's comeback was different from what I anticipated, I'll leave it at that," Emily hinted, flaunting LSPACE's tala maxi dress. "I had certain expectations for Gretchen, and I'd argue she was different from what I envisioned."
But don't worry, the drama between Tamra and Gretchen isn't the only focus for season 19. Emily is excited to bring attention to The Innocence Center, a nonprofit dedicated to freeing those wrongfully convicted from prison.
She's also looking forward to giving fans a genuine glimpse into her family life, navigating her marriage with Shane Simpson and raising their three kids. "We've got a lot going on in the family department, a lot of family dynamics between Shane, me, and the children," Emily shared. "Here's hoping it resonates with fellow mothers. At the end of the day, I'm a mother first, not a Housewife."
